Nora's school had a Homecoming Dance on Friday, September 18th. The kids and the parents had so much fun. Watching the children interact with one another was hilarious. I would love to be a fly on the wall at school. They all have such special relationships with one another.

Not only was there music and snacks, we had a disco ball and a fogger! It was hilarious. There was also a raffle for door prizes which most kids won something. It was a fun night!

Tanner, Nora and Rowan. Nora loves the boys!

Getting warmed up for what Nora called her "Dance Party."

Nora loves to do the "crab" as she calls it.

Put your skirt down, Nora!

The owners, Fred and Valaire were crowned King and Queen.

"The Crab" again...

Nora and her friend, Hope.

No kissing! What the heck, Nora?

The music stopped and the girls are resting.

Nora got her first haircut and the girl needed it! Pete was not behind me 100% on the first haircut but I think he is all good with it now. He thought I would cut a ton off which of course I wouldn’t do as I love her “long” hair. Her hair was simply too many lengths with some snarl to it. Anyway, she loved being at the salon primarily because she was able to watch “Dora” as she was getting her haircut.

This is the before shot... See why it needed to me cut?

Nora was so good during her haircut. It amazes me that she listens so well.

Nora and Boots watching Dora.

Another before shot... Blogger can irritate me some days! UGH.

The final product.

Potty trained??

Not yet but she is trying. Neither Pete or I have changed a poopy diaper since July. We are extremely proud of Nora for using the toilet to go poop. However, she still poops in her diaper at school if she doesn’t feel like telling the teachers. She will go potty on the toilet but is having more trouble with the potty than the poopy. Whatever, the girl is trying. When she is pooping at home she likes to tell us to “leave me alone. I pooping.”
Oh and check out the pictures of her. She looks just like Pete when he is on the toilet!

I don't think I need to comment on any of the pictures....

American Cancer Society 5K

AMI Imaging Systems (our family business) proudly sponsored the inaugural American Cancer Society 5K on August 15, 2009 in Bloomington. We are proud to announce that we along with the participants, volunteers and donations raised over $30,000.

Mirabella should be proud that she walked a 5K at 5 1/2 months...

Omaha! We miss you.

We miss you Omaha! We were lucky enough to go back for a visit at the end of July. Meeting our new niece, Ella Jude was fantastic. Nora really enjoyed meeting Ella and seeing her other cousins, Megan & Carson. Nora loves her cousins. She talks about them all of the time. She wants to know when they are coming to her house to play. Hopefully all of the cousins will be able to make a trip up to MN in the near future. Of course she totally loved seeing her Nona. She always wants Nona to come to her house to play and to “drink coffee.” Seeing Papa Larry and Patty and all of the aunts and uncles was a blast too.

In addition to seeing the Swarty side of the family, we were able to see a lot of our friends while we were in town. Pete had his 20 year high school reunion that weekend. It was awesome seeing everyone and meeting new people. Pete of course was so proud to have me as his trophy wife :)

Enjoy the photos below!

The second and more tame night of the reunion weekend.

Trying to get a photo of Nona and her grandkids was not easy...

Breakfast outside at Nona's house.

We had a get together at a friends pool the Saturday of the reunion. Apparently the 10 year did not involve kids and was quite a bit different than this time.... Imagine that...

Ella Jude

More pics of breakfast at Nona's. You can tell Nora is "annoyed" that she is not getting ALL of Nona's attention....

The ZOO... OK, so I lived in Omaha for 6 years. I had a pass to the zoo for 3 or 4 years and never went. I finally had my first trip to the zoo with my little lady, Nora. It is a fantastic zoo.

Nona gave Nora a doll with a paci. Nora has been off of her paci for several months, clearly she need a pull!

We took the doll to the park.

Reunited with the cousins. They all were very excited!
Stunt Doubles! Megan and Leslie!
