I have been terrible about updating our blog. Sorry! We have been super busy. Nora continues to learn more and more each day. Last week she said her first sentence; "Mama, where are you?" I about fell over when she yelled that. She had her conferences at school the other day and her teacher said she is doing great. She is independent yet social. When she decides to holler or get rowdy she does it and recruits the rest of the class to join in. Jacob and Leslie are in town right now and Nora really digs them. We ask her to tell us what Jacob says and she says "hooty hooty hooty hoo" (in her language). I will update more in depth later this week. All is well in Swarty land! Oh and the update goes to the second page of the blog....

Little Shopper!

Sleepy heads

Someone went shopping....

We went to see Santa today at EP center. We also bought a few items for Nora. Clearly the girl likes to get new things!

Nora in her flashy snow pants

We got a little snow on Saturday! Nora went outside to play. I thought she would last about 30 minutes. She was outside for almost 3 hours. She had a great time playing especially with our neighbor, Megan!Showing off her snow gear.

Megan, pull me that way!

We are a classy bunch at the Swarty household. I needed to to plant my winter urns however the dirt was frozen so I couldn't. We are brilliant and decided to start a fire in our driveway to thaw the urns out... Didn't work so well. Thankfully Pete handled the situation today and they are now planted.

when mommy's away, daddy has to do my hair...

Cheese

I love this picture of Nora... I had to post it.

Monday we were in the 70's and Friday we have snow!

When I woke up this morning I went to the front door to let Chloe and Hula Girl out. I saw something that I haven't seen in awhile. SNOW! Good lord.... I am heading to Austin, TX today where it is going to be in the 70's. Pete, Nora, Chloe and Hula Girl have to stay back in the cold. I feel badly for them. I will miss them terribly. I love you guys!

Our pumpkins are covered in snow.

BAM! That girl can cook!

Nora has become such a big helper especially in the kitchen. Pete (looking fine as hell) was making some banana pancakes on Saturday morning. Thankfully Nora came into the kitchen to help. He really doesn't know how to use a mixer.

Halloween 2008

We had such a fun weekend! Halloween on Friday night was fabulous. Nora and Ellie went trick or treating together. I think they went to about 15 houses. They did great. Prior to Halloween, Nora refused to wear her dog hat head piece to her costume. I was annoyed..... I finally accepted the fact that she was not going to wear it. Thursday at her school parade she wore it! I was shocked. Apparently they bribed her with food. So, on Friday we did the same and she wore it! She didn't even fight us! YEAH NORA! Nora dressed as a dog and looked cute. There are some pictures below. I will post the parade pictures later (hopefully).
Getting stripped down to put on her costume.Getting her face painted. She is a fierce dog-haha
