First trip to the zoo

We went on our first trip to the zoo on Saturday. They have the Farm Babies on exhibit there right now. The zoo does a heck of a job marketing the exhibit... I think their marketing plan is better than their exhibit. However, we had a great time. It was just a little too cold out with the lovely winds that were blowing through town that day. We didn't get a ton of great photos but we have a few to showcase to you all. Nora was/is battling an ear infection. She enjoyed looking at the animals but was afraid to touch any of them. She tapped a piglets nose at that is it. OH well, she is only 1! On the walking front, Nora walks quite a bit now. It is on her terms though. She also can crawl up the stairs. We need to work on her going down them now. A few more things... Nora has figured out how to clap her hands, put her hand up when she doesn't know where something is and she loves to scream!

Takin Steps

I forgot to mention in recent posts that Nora is taking steps now! She has been for about 1-1.5 weeks now! She usually just takes about 4 or 5 steps then realizes that she is walking and says "forget it, I can crawl faster." She has taken up to 10 steps at one time. It is incredible watching her learn..... She is a sweetie. Her teachers at school said she took 4 solid steps yesterday. YEAH NORA!

Muffin Thief

At brunch today Nora was eating everything in sight which is very welcomed as she has not been feeling well. Anyway, she was stealing lots of items off of my plate. She was obsessed with muffins. Ever since we ate at Jenny and Jeff's last weekend for brunch Nora has been in LOVE with muffins.... She had 3 blueberry and 1 chocolate chip muffin today. Watch her sticky fingers in action....
It appears that Nora is holding on a conversation with other people while trying to make a sneak attack on my plate.

Brunch at Hazellwood

After church we went to brunch with Aunt Lissie and our cousins, Jody, Chuck, Alex and Izzy. We had a great time. We missed my parents today. They were in FL visiting my Aunt Janice and Ben. We were scheduled to see them for dinner tonight but unfortunately the cancelled on us. ......
