Nora's 2nd Birthday Party pictures (nearly 3 months later)

Any of you reading this blog realize that our lovely daughter had her birthday in March. She also had her birthday party in March. Why is it the middle of May and I am just posting some pictures now? Well, I could rattle off the many reasons but I will just put it simply, we have been freaking busy!

Nora's party of an E-I-E-I-O themed party. Nora loved and still love animals and the song "Old Mac Donald." We had some family and friends over to celebrate. Our youngest guest, was Miss Mirabella Martelle Jiovanazzo who had to make it to her first bash before she was a week old. A girl is never too young to start partying!

Nora received delightful presents. Everyone was very generous and creative. However, Nora was obsessed with the 2nd present she open which was from Joey. It was a doctors kit. After she saw the Dr. Kit, Nora had no interest whatsoever in opening her other presents. I had to jump in and open hers for her. Nora got more excited as the party went on as she received 3 doctors kits and a mini hospital. Perhaps Nora will go into medicine?
Byerlys always does a rock'n job with their cakes. I brought one of her napkins for the party in and they made the cake look identical. Yeah!

Pete's brother Tim and his mom (Nona) were so sweet and came to Nora's party. We love having his family up to visit. We just with they were able to come more! We didn't get many pictures of the group the night before so we snapped this one before they left on Sunday morning. Notice that Uncle Tim and Nora are rivals?

This is when it began with the doctor kit....

A girl is never too young to get her toe nails done!

Nora's toe nails needed a little touch up while we were in Orlando... Clearly she needed to get them painted professionally!

No more monkeys jumping on the bed!

Uh-OH! Nora was the little monkey jumping on the bed. However, she didn't fall off and bump her head. She fell on our foot board with her mouth open (the teeth marks are still there). This happened on March 28th.... Her lip is down but one of her teeth is pushed up. At first she screamed and screamed. We were able to settle her. Her lip was a little puffy and first and we could tell her teeth were sore. Later in the evening, we noticed her lip getting bigger and bigger.... The next morning, it was huge and we could barely see her teeth as her gums were super swollen. We decided it was time to head to Children's to make sure she was ok...Her lips and gums were black and blue. The doctor told us she was fine but to keep an eye on things. A few days later she had her 2 year check and her doctor said she looks fine but suggested we take her to the dentist to get x rays to make sure her permanent teeth are fine. We will be taking her soon. The good part of the injury is that Nora is officially off of her PACI! She gave her PACI to baby Mirabella because she was crying. It also is gone because in the toddler room at school she cannot have it and because it hurt her too bad to suck on it due to her injury. She still asks for her PACI but then responds to her question herself by saying "Mirabella crying." Super cute! Below are a few photos from the injury. Poor thing!

Yo Nona! I know I have been bad about updating the blog. I will be sure to update more this week. Here are a few pictures of Nora mocking her Nona with her sunglasses (glasses in Nona's case) on her head. We love you Nona!

There is a 2 year old in the house!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Nora! You are such a delightful and fun little girl. We have so much fun with you. The joy and happiness you have brought to us the past 2 years is more than we could have imagined. Continue to be the fun loving sweetheart that you are! We love you!

We had a fun day today. Nora woke up in a fabulous mood. She was all smiles and excited that it was her birthday. She kept telling us that she was 2! Nora was able to have a cupcake with her breakfast this morning. She also brought ice cream and cupcakes to school. After school we went out to eat at Benihana.. YUMMY!
Mommy allowed me to have cupcake for breakfast today. She rules!

Mirabella Martelle made her grand appearance on Sunday, March 1, 2009. She is a beautiful little girl. Jenny and Jeff are delighted as are all of us! Congrats. I have several cute pictures of the peanut but I will just showcase a few. J and J are naturals and are great parents.
