State Fair with the cousins!

We had quite the special treat over Labor Day weekend. The cousins came to town! Nora had a great time as did we, with the cousins and aunt and uncle. We don't get too many visitors from Omaha so it was great to have some family in town. We hit up MOA filled with rides, the American Girl Doll store and some grub. We had a fire in the firepit and made smores. We also hit up the Great Minnesota Get Together aka the Minnesota State Fair. Here are a few pictures to showcase our fun.

Cute little baby duck.

The big yellow slide. This is my favorite thing to do at the fair! Being pregnant, I was unable to go for a slide. Nora did it once with Pete and once all by herself. She loved the slide. The first time down, Chris, Leslie, Pete, Megan, Carson and Nora all went down at the same time. I snapped pictures and enjoyed the permagrins on their faces!

Stuffing her face with the smores.

The cousins!
Oh and I am not sure why the top part of this post is underlined....

First Day of Sunday School

Nora had her first day of Sunday school on September 12th. She had a great time.

Curlers

These pictures are completely out of order but I don't feel like trying to move them around..... Nora had her first experience with the pink sponge rollers on Saturday night. She didn't mind putting them in but was a little apprehensive to sleep in them. The bribe of a quick "Dora" actually it was "Diego" did the trick! She slept in the curlers and was so excited and a little embarrassed at the outcome of the ringlets. In my opinion, she looks adorable and from the way she was acting, she thought the same. Unfortunately, the humidity of the day flopped the curls within 15 minutes of her going outside.

I love this picture!

Notice the poles?

33.5 week belly photos!

Don't ask why I am allowing these to be on the blog! I did assure many of you that I would post them, so here you have them. These were taken after a long day at work and after playing outside after work..... Yes, I am obese and swollen! It is worth though.

It's a boy!

It’s a boy or so we think….. The reason it’s boy is that we have absolutely NO solid names for a boy. None. Zero. Zilch. There are some great names out there but none that are striking us as the right one OR someone else already has it OR we don’t agree…. However, it’s not that we don’t agree really because neither of us is really set on one name…. At my 30 week check up yesterday, we posed the question to Dr. Chow about good names for boys. I mean really, he delivers kids for a profession we were sure he has heard a good name or 2. When I asked him for a suggestion, he looked at me funny like, for real? And his reply was “Dick.” Isn’t that classic? Pete and I have giggled over it a few times. So, if we have a boy, his name will be Dick. Like Doc Chow said, he will put in his IPhone “LS having a Dick.”
Speaking of yesterday’s appointment…. Things are looking pretty darn good. After my bout with contractions earlier in the month, I was told not to travel to Omaha. Of course we were bummed out to miss out on a trip there to see family and friends but we didn’t think it was worth the chance of me getting stuck down there (not that Omaha is bad… I just would rather be home) and/or I did not want to be put on bed rest. After my 28 week appointment I was told I could travel in MN just not out of state. So thankfully we can still go to the lake for the next at least 2 weeks if we desire.
Nora is still as cute as can be when it comes to this baby. She still loves to kiss my tummy and to feel the baby kick. Some kicks still startle her a bit as they do me at times too. It really is fun to watch her curiosity and love build for this baby. As I have mentioned in past posts, she was adamant that we were having a girl and she named her Lola. Now, she is talking more boy… However the names are not really flowing out of her mouth for boys either. Tuna La La was one suggestion…. At least that’s better than Dick.
