Disney and Orlando 2009!

April 7th-12th we had a family vacation to Orlando. I went on the 5th for work and Pete braved flying alone with Nora on the 7th. Both of them did a great job. Nora was a little freaked out at the end of the flight because of some bad turbulence. The winds were wild that day. However, both daddy and Nora survived their flight together. We stayed at the Omni at Champions Gate where Pete played a short round of golf, we spent some fun time at the pool and lazy river, had some fabulous dinners, I was lucky enough to get a massage and mostly we enjoyed hanging out with each other. We went Disney World on Thursday the 9th. We are so glad that we decided to go and are happy with our decision to only go one day. We all had fun taking in the scene, eating junk food and of course seeing Mickey and Minnie.... Well, we (Nora) didn't like it at the time but then realized how neat it was. She did cry when it came time to "meet" Mickey and Minnie. The minute we left them she asked us where they went... I could ramble about each detail of the trip but I will stop and simply let you take in the lovely photos below. There are several and for you fellow bloggers you can appreciate the difficulty of arranging multiple photos hence the photos are in not particular order.
We stayed on the 16th floor of the hotel. One morning when we got up we noticed some hot air balloons outside our door. It was pretty cool seeing these things but also somewhat scary as they appeared to be heading towards our building and how do they stop!

Waiting at the airport to go home
On the plane

Nora at the pool. She is just too dang cute.

Now where are you going?

The Swarty's did their fair share of travel in April... I had a work trip to Orlando in early April. I was lucky enough to have Pete and Nora join me for the last part of the trip and make our own little family vacation. Pictures to come! Then I went to Daytona Beach for work. The same weekend, Pete went to Seattle. Nora was lucky enough (and so were Pete and I) to have Nona come to town to take care of her. They had a great time. Nora adores her Nona! I wish I was a fly on the wall that weekend! The only downer was that Nora got strep throat but it was no big deal as she was acting just fine..... Next trip for me was Vegas for Chrissy's bach party...Pictures to come. Below are a few cute pictures of Nora in my suitcase. I missed her....

Harrison Lichty and Nora meet (in early March 09)

We had the honor of meeting Harrison Lichty in early March. He is a cutie. He came by before he had a family dinner up the street. Nora wasn't so sure at first about him and about having to share but clearly they warmed up.....

More pictures from the fat lip incident

OK, so as you all read the post about 2 months ago and the fat lip... Well, after we got home from the ER, we had to wash Nora's jacket as it was nasty in the ER.... So, we had to put her in another jacket... Well the hat to go with the cheetah jacket is too big. I think I wanted to post these not only to show the fat lip again but to show you the interesting ensemble we put our child in....

Poor Chloe

Nona brought this hat for Nora to wear at her birthday party. The next day, Nora thought it would be a great idea to put the hat on Chloe. I am amazed at how tolerable our loving Chloe is....

Nora's first poop on the toilet 3/31/09

I know it's nasty but I had to post it! I am so proud of my peaches for producing this in the toilet. Right before her bath she asked me if she could poop on the toilet. I said why not, thinking to myself that she was just messing around... then the next thing I know, she is pushing one out and I hear a plop. plop. plop! I was screaming with excited as was she. YEAH NORA! And no, it hasn't happened again since this time... Oh well..

Nora's 2nd Birthday Party pictures (nearly 3 months later)

Any of you reading this blog realize that our lovely daughter had her birthday in March. She also had her birthday party in March. Why is it the middle of May and I am just posting some pictures now? Well, I could rattle off the many reasons but I will just put it simply, we have been freaking busy!

Nora's party of an E-I-E-I-O themed party. Nora loved and still love animals and the song "Old Mac Donald." We had some family and friends over to celebrate. Our youngest guest, was Miss Mirabella Martelle Jiovanazzo who had to make it to her first bash before she was a week old. A girl is never too young to start partying!

Nora received delightful presents. Everyone was very generous and creative. However, Nora was obsessed with the 2nd present she open which was from Joey. It was a doctors kit. After she saw the Dr. Kit, Nora had no interest whatsoever in opening her other presents. I had to jump in and open hers for her. Nora got more excited as the party went on as she received 3 doctors kits and a mini hospital. Perhaps Nora will go into medicine?
Byerlys always does a rock'n job with their cakes. I brought one of her napkins for the party in and they made the cake look identical. Yeah!

Pete's brother Tim and his mom (Nona) were so sweet and came to Nora's party. We love having his family up to visit. We just with they were able to come more! We didn't get many pictures of the group the night before so we snapped this one before they left on Sunday morning. Notice that Uncle Tim and Nora are rivals?

This is when it began with the doctor kit....

That's weird that the TV is on with sports on at our house?!!!!
