Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is Pete's birthday! He is 36 (he acts and looks 26 though).

Quick update! Nora went to Crosslake for her first and surely not last time this weekend. It was just Pete, Nora, Chloe, Hula Girl and me this weekend. Unfortunately my parents and sister could not make it. Alissa is in Germany (having a great time) and my parents stayed back because my Aunt Janice is very sick and in the hospital. We ask that all of you include her in your prayers. We love her very much and hope she gets better soon. Anyways, we had a blast at the lake and cannot wait to go again. Here are some pictures.

We are back to blogging!!!!!

We have been very busy! Sorry to be so slack on updating the blog. I really need to try to do it every other day! This will be a short post but all anyone ever cares about are the pictures so that is grand! We are covering random days along with Mother's Day and Nora's first road trip to Omaha! For Mother's Day, Pete and Nora took me Nancy's Landing in Waconia for a delicious brunch, then we headed to the Arboretum and bought some Peony's, then we headed for my parents house for a BBQ. I had a terrific day thanks to Pete, Nora, Chloe, Hula Girl, my mom, dad and sister.... Nora went to Omaha for the first time to meet the rest of our (Pete's side) family. She also had the opportunity to meet many of our friends. We had a fun filled weekend! I will write captions under most pictures. Please keep in mind the pictures are in no particular order..... I am tired and that is my excuse...
Chloe was very scared during a thunderstorm so she looked to Nora for some help. Nora was busy surfing on her tummy time surf board.
Nora and I stopped by the SCN (Special Care Nursery) at Abbott/Children's Hospital to drop off a gift for the SCN. When we were there we were lucky enough to see our favorite nurse, Margi. She was proud of Nora for gaining so much weight! Margi was a wonderful support for Pete and me while Nora was in the hospital--she taught us a ton and loved and cared for our daughter-she is the best! When we were at Abbott we also tried to see Nancy Sawyer who was one of my nurses during my stay and Nancy is incredible. She was by my side during some difficult moments and made Pete and me feel loved and cared for. OK--enough of me being sappy!

Nora had the great honor of meeting Chrissy this past weekend! They both fell for each other right away. Chrissy came all the way from Chicago to meet her. We had a girls lunch at Olive Garden on Friday afternoon. We spent Friday night waiting to see if Nora could roll over. She was almost there! Nora really likes her new Chicago hat that Chrissy gave her! She should fit into it soon especially after her stats at the Dr. today! She weighed in at 9lbs 4ozs. She also had to have 4 shots. She has been very tired today and a little cranky. However, she was VERY brave and held onto Pete's hands as tight as she could doing the ordeal.
Ali Hirtz gave Nora this darling Tee Shirt. We will have to go out with Ali sometime so she can wear it for her!
Nora and I before Pete and I headed to the Jiovanazzo's for the Kentucky Derby party! It was a fun time! Too bad we did not win any money! Oh well, the party and the company was fantastic! My parents watched Nora all day. They had a great time! OOh and not only did my parents babysit, they washed our sheets, made our bed and folded our clothes! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nora went to her very first Art Show (is that what you call them? or Art Opening, Gallery).. Anyways, she went to an art event that our friend and artist Sue Hartzell Vannelli hosted. She had all of her beautiful artwork, lovely hor d' eovers, and vino there! Nora purchased some great pieces for her room and I am hoping to order a piece for above our fireplace titled "Birth." Sue has a website and a studio. Her website is www.thedancingpaintbrush.com. I believe the site is being updated right now so keep checking back to see her work when it is back up OR sign up to be notified when her site is back up by going to her site today!
